Are all of your Chrome Effects products made of plastic?No they are not. We have stainless steel fender trim, rocker panels, and pillar posts available. We also offer billet-aluminum grilles. However all of our mirror backs, door handles, taillight bezels, and EZ-On grilles are made of chrome-plated plastic.

Do I need ot use an adhesive "promoter" or "primer" before applying your pieces?While these products are not required for rocker panels and pillar post trim, they are recommended for mirror backs, door handles, and portals/vents. These products are often adhered to unpainted or textured surfaces, and the promoter/primer accelerates the adhesion process, giving a stronger bond.

What kind of adhesive is used on your "stick-on" products?All of our "stick-on" products feature 3M "Redliner" adhesive. this is the industry standard adhesive used for all types of automotive trim. It is a foam based tape with an acrylic permanent adhesive.

How are your chrome products packaged?Most of our products are available in both a retail "skin" pack or a box package. There is no price difference between the two packages, and the retail packaging affords you the opportunity to display the product which often encourages purchase. Some items, such as bugshields, rocker panels, wheelskins, and fender trim, are only available in boxed packaging.
